As you complete this Web Quest, you will assess the necessary steps involved in creating a 5 to 7 minute news broadcast that will air over your school’s video retrieval system.  The production will be crewed by yourself and 9 students.   It will be taped in real-time and aired at 8:00 A.M. each morning.

First, you will examine the correct way to construct and write a video script. You will make your script conform to actual broadcast scripts, so that students can use this information in college settings or in actual broadcast environments.

Next, you will assess the correct skills and talents necessary to video-tape a  live-to-tape television production.

Finally, you will explore how your productions can be enhanced  by creating pre-made news packages that can be rolled into the broadcast.
